There are no limitations to how many affiliates you can recruit and manage on this platform, regardless of which subscription plan you choose. Furthermore, its Affiliate Marketplace is a game-changer for rapidly growing Shopify brands that want to keep the wheels turning as they scale.

The only drawback worth mentioning is the pricey subscription. The “basic” plan is the Professional package, which costs at least several times more than average. I believe it’s well worth the money, though.

Who Is This For?

At the same time, these can be perceived as pitfalls for more established e-commerce companies. While Referral Candy is great at what it does, its features aren’t as strong and versatile in comparison to pricier alternatives.

Who Is This For?

Referral Candy is my top recommendation for small Shopify brands and emerging e-commerce merchants. If you don’t have the budget to afford more advanced affiliate management/recruiting solutions, this is one of the best apps you can get.

3. UpPromote


“Superior Scalability” would be the words that I’d use to describe UpPromote. It’s a well-rounded tool equipped with features you can use to begin, grow, and scale e-commerce brands of any size.

It’s a feature-packed platform that offers both coupon and link tracking capabilities, a vast Affiliate Marketplace program, and the option to transform loyal customers into affiliates.

UpPromote features a tool that allows you to create custom affiliate offers that you can place on its Affiliate Marketplace, your own website, or use as an e-mail template whenever you are conversing with individual potential recruits.

What I Like / Dislike About UpPromote

I love that UpPromote is more than an affiliate management/recruitment app. Aside from enabling you to quickly track new prospects and integrate them into custom programs, it also sports a variety of tools that can help you choose the best products for your affiliates to promote.

Each subscription plan has something for every budget. I wouldn’t dub UpPromote’s pricing as “flexible”, as you essentially get what you pay for. The basic “Growth” package is pretty great for new brands, but it’s barely better than the free version. The “Professional” subscription is much stronger but costs twice as much.

I’m not too convinced about the “Enterprise” package, because it mainly eliminates the limitations present in lower subscriptions and introduces integration while costing more than five times than “Growth” and twice as much as the “Professional” subscription.

Who Is This For?

UpPromote is well suited for Shopify merchants and companies of all sizes. The bulk of its features is better for small and medium size e-commerce stores while larger firms have a variety of custom options in the “Enterprise” package.

4. Goaffpro


GoaffPro is easily one of the best Shopify affiliate apps for brands and merchants on a tight budget. If there’s one downside to GoaffPro, it’s the fact that some of the features in paid subscription packages aren’t exactly new or innovative. Most Shopify brands have already covered the grounds of invoices, membership fees, and sign-up landing pages, but these tools are included in the price anyway.

Who Is This For?

I recommend GoaffPro to all Shopify merchants searching for a comprehensive affiliate tracking & management solution. Even though it’s one of the cheapest apps on the list, its versatility is exemplary.

The only con of using Social Snowball is a hefty monthly price tag. Its lowest subscription option is much more expensive than average, despite its remarkable value.

Who Is This For?

Social Snowball’s scalability is outstanding. The more you use this app, the more efficient it becomes, so I would recommend it to all Shopify brand owners. Its priciness may dissuade emerging e-commerce merchants from using it, but I would recommend investing in this innovative product anyway.

Aside from the fact that LeadDyno is among the most expensive Shopify affiliate SaaS, I should mention that Starter and Plus subscriptions have one large flaw – LeadDyno’s branding will be included on your affiliate sites. Although this isn’t necessarily a bad thing for emerging brands, Shopify brands that are building a reputation may consider this as a drawback.

The only negative about Tapfiliate is how expensive its subscriptions are. I’m pretty sure not many e-commerce merchants can afford to pay close to $1k a month for one Shopify app.

Organizing tasks and keeping your affiliates motivated is a breeze when they know what they can expect from a job well done. I recommend Tapfiliate to medium-to-large Shopify merchants and companies.

Final Thoughts

While good affiliate tools can help you find more affiliates and manage them without wasting hours daily, the best Shopify affiliate apps are meant to automate the whole process and allow you to focus on more important tasks.

Consider your budget before making your choice, though, as you’ll find Shopify affiliate apps in the range between $30 and $700 per month (and possibly above).
