Best Link Tracking Software Tools of 2022 (Free & Paid)

Written by Cody

Updated: Aug 29, 2022

The larger your company grows, the more people will want to use it as a jumping board for their businesses. Before you know it, you’ll have thousands of affiliate links, and that’s awesome if you know how to keep tabs on all of them.

To save you days’ worth of time on unnecessary, trivial tasks, I want to present to you some of the best link tracking software that the current market has to offer, so let’s dive into the reviews.

What Are the Best Link Tracking Software Tools?

Whether you’re using Amazon PPC software and tracking the total number of clicks your ad campaign received or you’re an affiliate marketer looking to see which affiliate links are performing the best, you need link tracking software. Here is my pick of the top 9 solutions in 2022.

1. Affilimate

Affilimate is a comprehensive link tracking platform comprised of a dedicated affiliate dashboard, automated link management tools, and powerful analytic features.

With this program, you can track the performance of several websites simultaneously, automate the process of importing links, and create a unified library of unified links pulled from multiple websites.

If you are delegating link tracking responsibilities to your team, you can always stay up-to-date with how they are performing by checking the heatmaps – simplified graphic visualizations of selected affiliate links.

Affilimate is capable of page-level link tracking, allowing you to obtain accurate information about the performance of each link that you’ve integrated into individual pages.

This program also integrates with more than a hundred platforms, including Amazon, Commission Factory, Everflow, JVzoo, CJ Affiliate, Pepperjam, and many others.

Key Features

  • A dedicated affiliate dashboard
  • Amazon Link Checker
  • Affiliate link management system
  • Heatmap graphics
  • Custom reports
  • Dynamic SubID tracking
  • Revision history
  • Robust analytic tools

Affilimate’s subscription is based on monthly page views (ranging from 100,000 to beyond 2 million). The default option is 500K, which costs $99 per month. A free 15-day trial is available, and you can get two months for free if you decide to commit to annual billing.

What I Like / Dislike About Affilimate

Affilimate is a well-balanced program, empowering the user with exceptional link tracking and management tools. I liked the UI of its affiliate dashboard the most; it is streamlined, very easy to use, and unifies all the features you need to use to keep tabs on your links on a single platform.

Its Amazon Link Checker is quite handy; if you decide to use Affilimate, you’ll no longer need to outsource third-party software to repair broken links.

There are no major drawbacks to Affilimate. It’s outfitted with so many features, and even though they’re easy to use individually, you may need a bit of time to get accustomed to them.

Who Is This For?

Affilimate is equipped with a variety of powerful features that would benefit medium and large-sized companies the most. It may not be the most affordable option for smaller brands, but it is could be a viable solution if you subscribed to a lesser subscription plan.

2. Voluum

Voluum is a premium link tracking software, equipped with cutting-edge features and technologies that allow users to automate the bulk of their affiliate campaign processes.

Similar to Affilimate, this program sports an affiliate marketing dashboard and analytic tools designed to track website traffic, ad impressions, and conversions.

This software features a dedicated affiliate marketing dashboard, which allows you to not only track the performance of your affiliate links but a variety of other metrics as well (organic traffic, custom conversions, and more).

Voluum also allows you to build multi-step funnels; whether you want your customers to reach your services as fast as possible or intrigue them with a custom path, you can do it with this program.

Another important feature of Voluum is the Lander Scanning Tool. It’s essentially a “diagnostics” tool that allows you to check for errors on any landing page in an instant.

Key Features

  • Affiliate marketing dashboard
  • AI-based traffic distribution
  • Tracking of custom conversions, ad impressions, and website traffic
  • Direct and redirect tracking modes
  • Multi-step funnels
  • Over 50 traffic source and affiliate network templates
  • A comprehensive traffic log
  • Lander scanning tool
  • Traffic log

Voluum offers three subscription plans, including Discover at $89 per month; Profit at $149 per month, and Scale at $299 per month.

What I Like / Dislike About Voluum

Voluum’s versatility is even higher than Affilimate’s. This program allows you to automate and control every step of your affiliate marketing campaigns, check & repair links, and download accurate data about your customers’ visits.

I liked its AI-powered traffic distribution feature the most. Essentially, it scans all data input from the past 24 hours and updates the elements of each campaign based on how well (or poorly) they performed.

If you’re gaining more conversions than money, Voluum’s AI will work on reinforcing your ROI. If you’re gaining pennies but thousands of visitors, it will create a balanced setup. However, this feature is only available in Profit and Scale subscriptions, both of which are quite expensive.

Who Is This For?

Unlike similar apps that are bent on automating every aspect of link tracking, Voluum allows you to manually update your campaign costs, conversions, and funnels. If you’re on the market searching for a versatile link tracking program, look no further than Voluum.

3. ClickMagick

ClickMagic is a link & click tracking platform designed to help users optimize their marketing campaigns with powerful, accurate data.

This program pulls data in real-time and sends customizable reports on the performance of each link. When it comes to tracking capabilities and utility, ClickMagick is capable of cross-device tracking and offline tracking.

The former is one of the most important features of ClickMagic, as it enables the program to track links users click on via Androids, iOS devices, tablets, computers, and other terminals.

Advanced Attribution Modeling (AAM) is ideal for affiliate marketing campaigns. It credits the ad your visitors last clicked on for conversions, allowing you to see which ads garner interest, and which are the ones that seal the deals – the ones that convert interested consumers into your actual buyers.

Key Features

  • Can track up to a million clicks per month
  • TrueTracking platform
  • PPC Click Shield
  • Advanced Attribution Modeling
  • Unlimited funnel tracking and employee seats
  • Custom domain tracking
  • Automated cost updates
  • Audience optimization

ClickMagic offers three subscription plans, including Starter Plan at $37 per month; Standard Plan at $77 per month, and Pro Plan at $197 per month.

What I Like / Dislike About ClickMagick

I love the fact that you don’t have to stick with the AAM system. If you don’t feel like you’re gaining accurate insight into the behavioral patterns of your customers, you can switch from attribution to linear, time-decay, or position-based modeling system to see how your links and ads are performing.

ClickMagic isn’t the most expensive link tracking software on this list, but it’s certainly not the cheapest. I’m not too thrilled with the features included in the “Starter” bundle. Only a handful of tools are included, and a single operator can use the platform at any time.

Who Is This For?

As ClickMagic’s spokesperson imparts, it’s for “new marketers, growing businesses, and power users.” The three subscription plans that are available ensure that brands of all sizes can leverage its powerful features to track, optimize, and automate their marketing campaigns.

4. Improvely

Improvely is an advanced online marketing platform comprised of conversion tracking, affiliate marketing, and click fraud monitoring tools.

Its conversion tracking and attribution segment is essentially a hybrid feature comprised of click & link tracking, traffic reports, A/B split testing, and automated customer profiling. Each of the aforementioned features has its own place on the unified dashboard.

In terms of features that regard affiliate links, Improvely allows users to track your commission sources, hide your affiliate links, and protect your marketing campaigns from fraudulent actors by shielding your lists of ads and keywords.

As a part of your subscription, you will also gain access to a host of features meant to deter fraudulent clicks, locate fraudulent actors, and prepare an efficient solution to address these issues.

Key Features

  • Detailed visit and conversion tracking
  • Click fraud monitoring
  • A/B split testing tools
  • Tracks commission sources
  • Affiliate link cloaking
  • Integrates with ClickBank, PeerFly, MaxBounty, LinkShare, Awin, and other platforms

Improvely offers four subscription plans, including Freelancer at $29 per month; Startup at $79 per month; Small Agency at $149 per month, and Large Agency at $299 per month.

What I Like / Dislike About Improvely

Improvely is a unique blend of click/link tracking and fraud monitoring solutions. It not only allows you to manage the performance of your links, but it also helps you discourage and pinpoint individuals (or companies) that aim to undermine your campaigns.

Its subscriptions are click-based, and in comparison to other solutions we’ve seen so far, it’s a bit more expensive. Freelancer and Startup subscription plans in particular aren’t that well suited for bigger companies that receive hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.

Who Is This For?

Companies that want to manage and protect their marketing campaigns from a singular platform will find their needs catered to by Improvely. If you are already outsourcing anti-fraud tools or programs, you can still benefit from Improvely’s other features.

5. GetLasso

GetLasso is a link tracking software equipped with a variety of other features that can be used to improve link health and optimize the content display. The main purpose of this program is to enable users to reinforce the quality of the content their links are trying to push in marketing campaigns; at the same time, it offers streamlined link tracking and management solutions.

Its link tracking segment is fairly straightforward. You can use the provided analytic tools, integrate GetLasso with Google Analytics, or both. Either way, you will receive robust data on your affiliate links and see which ones perform the best.

The Opportunities segment allows you to quickly gauge the performance of each affiliate link, pinpoint unmonetized ones, and cloak any URL from a single dashboard.

The Affiliate Link Organizer is one of its strongest features. Featuring a drag & drop display, this tool helps you create custom link groups. Link Health features can be used to detect broken links, and receive notifications on products that are unavailable or out-of-stock on Amazon.

Key Features

  • Premium product displays, comparison tables, grid displays, and list displays
  • Monetized and unmonetized link tracking
  • Tracks and repairs broken links
  • Integrates with Amazon
  • Database of affiliate programs

GetLasso offers two subscriptions. Monthly at $29 per month, and Yearly at $289 per year. Both subscriptions come with a 7-day free trial.

What I Like / Dislike About Samples GetLasso

I love the simplicity of GetLasso. Even though it may not be as versatile as Voluum or ClickMagic, it does an amazing job at tracking the performance of affiliate links. Speaking of which, you can use GetLasso’s database to find the most lucrative affiliate programs to bolster your marketing campaigns.

On the downside, its link tracking features are quite basic, especially when compared to Affilimate or Improvely.

Who Is This For?

GetLaso is great for companies and brands that are deploying numerous affiliate links and that can’t gauge their performance accurately. If your firm is having a revolving door of affiliates, this may be the best click tracking software for you.

  • Custom domain names
  • Link redirecting

A free version is available, offering 50 (branded by the company) links per month. If you need more than 3,000 branded links each month, a Custom enterprise solution is also available.

What I Like / Dislike About

The traditional aspects of are solid – you can manage the performance of your links and keep tabs on all URLs from a single platform. What makes this program special is its custom domain builder; even if your visitors would happen to shorten your links, the custom domain name will remain the same, and they will be more likely to remember it.

There’s a massive price gap between Basic and Premium subscriptions; the former is dirt-cheap while the latter is arguably too expensive for small-to-medium size businesses.

Who Is This For?’s flexible pricing makes it great for virtually all businesses. I’d recommend trying the free version first, although only the Premium subscription will allow you to taste its unique features. It’s an excellent solution for companies that want to work on brand recall in parallel to link tracking and management.

7. ClickMeter

ClickMeter is one of the most versatile link tracking programs available on the market. It’s packed with over 100 unique features spread across several categories, including link redirecting, link tracking, link analyzing, endpoint development, integrations, and collaborative tools.

When it comes to redirecting links, you can target your audience by country, language, user type, and device type; you can deploy sequential link redirecting, first-click redirects, or add a password to protect your links.

Link cloaking, customizable landing pages, branded tracking links, and time-scheduled redirects are some of the other notable features in this category.

What I Like / Dislike About ClickMeter

There aren’t many things that ClickMeter can’t do. It’s easily one of the best link tracking software out there, as it can track virtually every metric imaginable. I also loved its detailed data point reports and the fact that you can customize the bulk of its reporting functions.

The obvious drawback of such a feature-packed program is the need to spend days, if not weeks on feature familiarization. It’s not the easiest software to integrate into an existing workflow.

Who Is This For?

ClickMeter is best for companies that do not want to miss a single detail about their links. Whether it be what device their visitors are using, where they come from, or how often they return to each page of the website, ClickMeter can do it all.

8. Red Track

Red Track is one of the leading link and marketing attribution software tools on the market. It sports an array of exquisite features, including link cloning, editable tags, link status, manual cost updates, data export, and a dashboard with a highly intuitive UI.

Once you set up a campaign with Red Track, you can monitor the performance of all of your ads and links. This program will immediately list the traffic source of your links, and show how many links & page views it has accumulated so far, but it also tracks each step in your funnels.

Just like ClickMagic, Red Track features inbuilt fraud checking tools. By carefully avoiding bots, this tool ensures that its reports are surgically accurate.

Key Features

What I Like / Dislike About Red Track

Once you open Red Track’s dashboard, you will see how straightforward it is. Every little detail that you’d want to know about your links and clicks is shown in the most intuitive way possible. The built-in anti-fraud tool is also a huge plus.

Red Track is among the most expensive link tracking software on this list; even its cheapest subscription plan is far from affordable.

Who Is This For?

Red Track is ideal for larger companies and enterprises that need a reliable solution for link tracking.

9. Pretty Links

Pretty Links is a link tracking software for WordPress websites. It boasts elements of link redirection, link shortening, and link management tools, all of which are unified on a single plugin for WP.

Its main feature is the function that can automatically generate links with custom domain names and hyperlink them to the keywords the user selects. Additionally, it boasts Javascript and PrettyBar redirects, cloaked redirects, link tagging, and custom slugs for your WordPress content.

Who Is This For?

Pretty Links is an ideal option for companies that used WP to build their websites. It cannot be used to track links on other types of websites.

Final Thoughts

The best link tracking software is the one that won’t take you months to master; the one that doesn’t cost your business more than you can afford, and a program that allows you to quickly pull relevant data while keeping track of all of your links. I’ve ensured that each software on this list fits that description.
